  • 14 Steps

Overview

About

SS1: Law and Governance Track is designed for students who want to understand how society is organized, how laws are made and applied, and how good leadership shapes communities. You’ll build a strong foundation in NERDC-aligned subjects that support this track, including Government, Civic Education, History, Economics, English Language, Mathematics, Literature-in-English, CRS/IRS, and Data Processing/ICT using clear examples and real-life situations you can relate to. Throughout the program, you’ll develop key skills such as critical thinking, clear writing, research, teamwork, and confident communication through guided activities, short quizzes, and practical assignments. By the end of SS1, you’ll be able to explain basic governance structures, discuss current issues respectfully, and make informed decisions as a responsible student and future leader. SS1: Law and Governance Track is built around skill-building for students who want to think clearly, speak confidently, and understand how rules and leadership shape everyday life. You’ll learn core ideas in law, civic responsibility, and governance while practicing the skills that help you succeed in school and beyond. In each module, you’ll strengthen critical thinking (analyzing issues and making fair judgments), research skills (finding reliable information and using it correctly), writing skills (clear paragraphs, summaries, and short essays), and communication skills (presentations, debates, and respectful discussions). You’ll also build problem-solving, teamwork, and leadership through practical tasks like case-style scenarios, role-plays, mini projects, and weekly assessments. By the end of SS1, you’ll be able to explain key civic and governance concepts, argue your points with evidence, write more clearly, and participate confidently in class discussions and real-world conversations.
