SS1: Science, Research & Technology Track is designed for students who want to understand how the natural world works, how research is done, and how science and technology solves real problems. You’ll build a strong foundation in SS1 subjects aligned with NERDC including Mathematics, English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Further Mathematics (where applicable), Computer Studies/ICT, Data Processing, and Technical Drawing, using clear explanations, guided practice, and everyday examples. Throughout the program, you’ll develop key skills such as problem-solving, scientific thinking, research skills, practical reasoning, digital literacy, and confident communication through guided activities and short, practical assignments. By the end of SS1, you’ll be able to explain core science concepts, apply formulas and methods correctly, carry out simple investigations, and use science and technology tools more confidently.
