About
SS1: Media & Digital Creative Track is a practical, creativity-driven program that helps students build real-world skills in media, music, and digital content creation. Learners explore how ideas become stories, songs, videos, and designs—while developing communication, teamwork, and responsible online habits. Students will learn: Music writing & production basics: songwriting (themes, lyrics, hooks), melody and rhythm foundations, simple chord progressions, arranging a short piece, and basic recording using a phone or computer. Students also learn intro-level editing (cutting, timing, clean audio), adding sound effects, and creating a simple jingle or soundtrack for a video. Video production: planning with storyboards and shot lists, camera angles and lighting, recording clear audio, interviewing skills, and creating short videos (e.g., mini-documentaries, school news, adverts, or creative skits). Students practice editing—trimming clips, adding titles/captions, transitions, music, and exporting for different platforms. Digital design & visual storytelling: creating posters, flyers, thumbnails, and simple brand visuals; using color, typography, and layout; and designing content that communicates clearly. Content creation & social media skills: writing captions, building content calendars, understanding audience and engagement, and learning digital citizenship (copyright, plagiarism, privacy, and respectful online behavior). Media literacy & communication: spotting misinformation, understanding how media influences opinions, and presenting ideas confidently through scripts, voiceovers, and presentations. Student outcomes By the end of the track, students will produce a mini-portfolio that may include a short edited video, a recorded original song/jingle, a set of digital designs (posters/thumbnails), and a simple content plan—showing both creativity and strong digital skills.
